|Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Disclosure in Chinese Listed Enterprises|
We observe the trend of corporate social disclosure (CSD) in mainland China over a longitudinal observation. While China has become a world economic superpower, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is still a relatively new concept in the country. The aim of this study is to investigate CSR development in China in recent years and to assess its level, with particular reference to companies listed on the Chinese stock markets. The disclosed information was examined around four main dimensions, namely marketplace, workplace, environment and community.
