In her acceptance speech, SOU Si Teng said, “The most rewarding part of being a volunteer is that it adds diverse colors to my life and gives me a deeper understanding of different classes and aspects of the society, from which I benefit a lot. I am also grateful to the platform and opportunities provided by the university and MLC. Their supports to my volunteer works let me inherit the motto of the university and MLC to put whole person development into practice by taking part in the planning, organization and participation of different volunteer works. I think that volunteering is for all ages, genders and beliefs. Anyone can become a volunteer as long as he or she is willing to contribute his or her time and spirit, and serve others or the community not for reward. I also hope that there will be more like-minded people walking side by side, encourage and support each other, influence life with life, add positive energy to the society with what they have learned, and contribute in building a harmonious society.”
