The quiet July of 2022 has finally passed. All the teachers and students have passed the “relatively quiet” period in Macao with firm patience in the fight against the pandemic.

As the sun is shining and the students are about to return to the campus for the new academic term, Vice Rector (Student affairs) Prof. Mok Kai Meng visited Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College, accompanied by Functional Head of Vice Rector (Student Affairs) Natalie Wong, College Master of MLC, Prof. Yang Liu, Associate Master of MLC, Dr. Ka Wai Fung, Functional Head of MLC, Ms. Jenny Leong, Secretary to the College Master, Ms. Jenny Ao, Administrative Assistant, Mr. Brian Cheong, and student leaders provided a warm reception and accompanied the inspection.

Prof. Yang first introduced the preparation work of MLC to Prof. Mok and thanked the university for the strong support to MLC, then introduced the college history in the college lobby, and they enjoyed the iconic poetry works that exhibited the spirit of loving the motherland and Macau written by the college donor Mr. Ma Man Kei. They then visited the college dining hall, the student dormitory, public space and laundry room of the extended floors, gym and the parking lot. During the visit, Prof. Mok talked with college staff and students, asked about college’s anti-pandemic measures for the new academic year and listened to the students’ feedback on the quality of the meals and their satisfaction with the college facilities. He also encouraged student leaders to set a good example for the 1st year students and create a good learning atmosphere in the college. Finally, Prof. Mok highly praised the successful completion of relocation and student orientation of the college under the impact of pandemic. His recognition deeply motivated teachers and students to welcome the arrival of the new semester with a new attitude and wholehearted spirit!
