In a heart-warming repeat of 2022’s semester-end success, students are once again embarking on the cherished Explore Macao double-decker bus tour to rejuvenate their spirits during the demanding exam period in 2023. This delightful excursion, which took place on December 7, 2023, allowed students to bask in the scenic beauty of Macao from the vantage point of the bus’s top deck. This year, as a preparation for the soon-coming “double celebration” in 2024, they visited not only iconic cultural landmarks, including Sai Van Bridge, and Coloane Village but also the Handover Memorial Pavilion. While anticipating the “double celebration” students are particularly interested in the stone inscription at the Macau Handover Memorial Pavilion, which was authored by Mr. Ma Man Kei. Additionally, they expressed great excitement at the prospect of observing the University of Macau from a distance along the shores of Coloane Village. They insisted on capturing a photograph with the university as a backdrop. After two hours of relaxation, the students returned to MLC, their souls revitalized and their academic pursuits invigorated. This initiative continues to prioritize students’ mental well-being while showcasing the splendor of Macao. The tour’s mission remains unchanged: to offer respite from the rigors of campus life, promote mental health, and introduce students, especially those from distant places, to the diverse wonders of Macao. Once again, students have been left in awe by this unique experience, reinforcing the value of residential college life in their hearts.
