Since the beginning of the latest round of outbreak on 18 June, 2022, the Macau SAR government has implemented rounds of mass nucleic acid tests and is calling upon the public to stay home unless necessary. This summer more than a dozen students are living in Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC). Their research projects, internship programs, University team training were suspended or switched to online mode.
In addition, our residents must go through continuous rounds of nucleic acid testing and prolonged stay in the dormitory. In addition to reminding them to cooperate with the SAR Government’s epidemic prevention policy, MLC is also aware that they are facing pandemic fatigue. Therefore, we do not only meet students online, but also prepare alcohol-based hand rubs and snacks to cheer them up.
The students were all smiling after receiving the small token of appreciation prepared by MLC. All the staff and students of MLC will actively cooperate with the SAR government in the fight against the pandemic and we sincerely hope that the pandemic ends soon!
