Academic Qualifications
She received her PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2012.
Research Interests
Her research interest is the history of the common or ordinary people in relations to their social and political environment with special reference to Guangdong and Macau in the early twentieth century. She has published several articles on various social and political aspects all focusing on the lives of the ordinary people in Republican Guangdong. An edited volume titled: The strenuous Decades: Global Crisis and the Transformation of Chinese Society in Modern Asia is forthcoming. She is also preparing a monography titled: “The People and Society of Republican Zhongshan”.

Working Experiences
Before joining University of Macau, she has been post-doctoral fellow at Nanyang Technological University and research fellow at Chinese University of Hong Kong.
She is currently serving as “The Expert” for the Expert-Team Study Tours to Zhongshan and Zhuhai, organized by Hong Kong and South China Historical Research Program, Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
